If you're one of these parents, don't just boot your kid out of the door - give them something to do, while expanding their knowledge! There are plenty of fantastic activities available for kids of all ages in Casper, and Ft. Caspar has plenty of interesting workshops and "fun" days on tap - look no further than their press release here:

Casper, Wyoming -Fort Caspar Museum is reviving a favorite local tradition this summer with Caspar Collins Day at the Fort.  Join us as we commemorate the city of Casper's namesake on the 149th anniversary of the Battle of Platte Bridge on Saturday, July 26th with living history demonstrations, hands-on activities, and crafts for the kids.  Interact with 19th-century characters including cavalry and infantry soldiers, pioneers, and frontiersmen.  Watch firearm demonstrations and mounted cavalry drills.  Enjoy toys and games popular with children 150 years ago.  Stroll through our vendor mart and purchase crafts and food items.  This event promises something fun for everyone!

Caspar Collins Day will be from 10:00 am to 5:00pm on Saturday, July 26, 2014; admission is FREE and all are welcome.
