Could we have just heard part of the direction of what Tom DeLonge wanted to take with Blink-182? Though he didn't come right out and say it, the hash tag for two new song snippets that DeLonge posted on Instagram states that these are "#SongsWithoutAHome."

As such, many are speculating that the material was meant for Blink-182 and a quick listen to the clips certainly seems like the tracks would fit in the Blink-182 wheelhouse. It should also be noted that the posts are also hashtagged with "#March1st" hinting that something may be coming soon.

Check out the two song snippets below:

Over the past week, the Blink-182 strife has spilled out in public, with Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker snagging Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba to fill in for DeLonge at the upcoming MusInk Festival, which they claim DeLonge initially committed to but then backed out of. In the time since the announcement, both DeLonge and his Blink-182 partners have opened up publicly about all of the struggles to come together on new music.

DeLonge initially claimed he was still in the band even though other commitments will keep him away for Blink for a good portion of the year, while Hoppus and Barker have called DeLonge "disingenuous" and state that he doesn't really want to be part of the band. In one of DeLonge's most recent posts, he stated, "Never planned on quitting, just finding it hard to commit."

So stay tuned to see what's coming on March 1 and if the two posted pieces of music from DeLonge will eventually surface in a more completed form.
