A well-mannered dog can be taken about anywhere, but where are the best places for dogs in Casper? Well, we are going to take a look at a few things. First off we will look at the laws regarding pets in Natrona County. Then we will show you the off leash dog parks in Casper, and then some good places to take Fido on leash.

Natrona County law requires pets to be on a leash 10 feet or less in all public parks. There is an exception for hunting dogs that have been trained and are in designated areas. Pets of any kind are prohibited anywhere there is food being made or served. Also most swim beaches are for people and not dogs. As far as festivals go, it is up to the management of that festival.

Most dog parks have the same set of rules. Pick up after your dog. If the dog is aggressive or becomes aggressive, get them out of the park. Don’t take your dog if they are in heat. Make sure your dog is voice controlled at all times. Most parks recommend that your pet be up to date on vaccines. In other words just be responsible.

As far as off leash dog parks, Casper has two options. If you are willing to keep your dog on a leash, there are more places to go. There are numerous parks and paths to walk your dog.

The law also requires you to scoop the poop whether in a park, on a trail, or in the street. It is also just polite dog-guardian behavior. So please don’t be “that guy.” No one likes poo on the shoe.
