Slayer Guitarist Kerry King: Big 4 May Be No More
If you’ve been hoping and praying that the Big 4 will soon be playing a full U.S. tour, you might want to lower your expectations and be happy with that DVD of the Sonisphere show from Sofia, Bulgaria. In a recent interview with UK’s Classic Rock magazine, Slayer guitarist Kerry King said he can’t imagine Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax will stage any more Big 4 shows.

To help brighten the holidays of those in need, Linkin Park are asking fans and supporters of their non-profit organization Music for Relief to make donations to help provide a solar powered light bulb to families in Haiti. Around 1.3 billion people in the world have no access to electricity, and cannot continue to work, study or provide healthcare after dark.
GWAR Guitarist Cory Smoot Died of Coronary Condition
A cause of death has been determinged for GWAR’s late guitarist Cory Smoot (a.k.a. Flattus Maximus). According to North Dakota coroner William Masselo, Smoot died from a coronary artery thrombosis caused by a pre-existing coronary artery disease. He was discovered dead on GWAR’s tour bus on Nov. 3 at the age of 34.

Man Apparently Killed Himself After Suffering Tinnitus at Them Crooked Vultures Show
A music fan in England apparently committed suicide earlier this year because a show by the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures (featuring Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin’s John Paul Jones) left him with such severe tinnitus — a constant ringing in the ears — that he couldn’t sleep for three months, a UK coroner’s investigation reported.
