Moist westerly Pacific flow is expected to produce a prolonged period of snow across much of western Wyoming through Friday morning. Some mountain ranges in the western portions of the state could get up to 3 feet of snow.

Wyoming will continue to experience high winds and western Wyoming will receive another round of snow for the next couple of days.

The National Weather Service has issued High Wind Watches and Winter Storm Watches for portions of Wyoming starting tonight and into Thursday. The Casper area will see the high winds starting tonight, with the western portions of the state getting the snow.

Casper Mountain got an early Christmas present with over 20 inches of snow from the storm that came through the state Wednesday. Here’s some of the highest snow totals from the the National Weather Service in Riverton:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Casper area and portions of the state through early tomorrow morning. There are also Winter Storm Warnings for portions of the Big Horn and Absaroka Mountains as well as the Sheridan area until early tomorrow morning.
