The 2014 Aftershock Festival has just added a number of new acts with the big news being that the reunited Atreyu will be joining the bill. The band went on hiatus in 2011, but they've been teasing fans about their possible return with a series of mysterious video teasers in recent weeks.

Drummer Brandon Saller says, "We are thrilled to be playing Aftershock this year. As our first major performance in years, I think the rowdy California festival crowd will be a great welcome back. We're looking forward to tearing that mother----er down."

Frontman Alex Varkatzas adds, "To say we are looking forward to playing this year's Aftershock Festival is an understatement. It's been three-plus years since we have rocked the stage as brothers, and to be playing with all these high caliber bands, in the state that we call home, is truly awesome."

The band has joined the Sunday, Sept. 14, lineup, which is being headed up by Rob Zombie, Godsmack, Five Finger Death Punch and Rise Against among others. As for the other additions to the bill, Escape the Fate, Tech N9ne and rising upstarts Islander will also be heading to Sacramento for the music weekend.
