The Natrona County Sheriff's Office has received at least 22 reports of burglaries of cabins at Alcova Reservoir over the weekend, Sheriff's Sgt. Aaron Shatto said Monday.

"We continue to get reports," Shatto said.

None of the renters encountered any of the burglars, he said.

Renters of the cabins on Pelican Ridge, Rocky Shore and Jakes Run reported building damages and the value of stolen items amounting to at least $18,000, according to offense reports.

One renter reported a loss of $4,400 for the theft of a wide-screen television, a generator, antique weapons and damage to the entrance.

The burglaries probably happened in a 36-hour period, Shatto said.

The Sheriff's Office is reviewing a lot of evidence in the case, and believes at least two people were involved in the burglaries, he said.

Shatto declined to say if there was a "person of interest" in the case.

If anyone has any information about the burglaries, Shatto urges them to call central dispatch at 235-8278.
