5K Challenge Will Start at the Pumphouse

The Windy City Striders will host race 2 in a series of 5, Saturday, January 31s,t at the Pumphouse.

Registration for the 5K is at 8:30am, with the run starting at 9am.

Here's everything you need to know.

You can log on to www.windycity striders.com to download the registration for or fill one out when you get there. The fee is $15 per race for non-WCS members & $10 per race for all WCS members. You can save money by paying for all the races at one time ($70 for non-WCS members & $45 for WCS members).

Prizes will be awarded at each race for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in male and female categories! This event is for all skill levels. This 5 run series starts with a 2 mile run and distances gradually increase with the series Finale being a 10K that will also start and end at the Ramada. It’s a great opportunity to meet other runners in Casper and start that running program you’ve been thinking about. Tell your friends—Something to start together in the New Year!

Throughout the series, we will be raffling off a Garmin Forerunner 110 running watch. Raffle tickets are $1 each or (6) for $5. The tickets will be sold throughout the series with the winning ticket being drawn at the final run on March 21st. Participants who complete all 5 races in the series will ALSO receive the 2015 finishers bonus/award.

Race # 1—Sat. January 17th—2 Miles at Ramada Riverside

Race # 2—Sat. January 31st—5K at the Pumphouse

Race # 3—Sat. February 21st—4 Miles at Lifetime

Race # 4—Sat. March 7th—5 Miles at the Pumphouse

Race # 5—Sat. March 21st—10 K at Ramada Riverside
