St. Anthony is the patron saint of lost things. And right now, there is a WyoLotto ticket holder who may be praying frantically.

It seems someone bought a ticket on June 3oth at Max’s Conoco and convenience store at Center St. and I-25, walked out and hasn’t been heard from since.

The reason they expected to hear from him is, he won. And he didn’t just win a few bucks, but $580,000.

Lottery CEO Jon Clontz was in Casper Wednesday to try to get the word out to the winner that they need to step forward and claim the prize.

“The chances are they don’t know they won or they misplaced the ticket or something,” says Clontz. “The winner has 180 days, 6 months, to claim the prize and after that, it goes into the Unclaimed Prize Account.”

There is surveillance camera footage of the customer buying a soft drink and a lottery ticket, but due to the lottery’s anonymity rules, the video cannot be used to spread the word to the public to help identify the winner.

“We’re ready to pay,” Clontz says. “All they have to do is come forward.”
