The fishing in Wyoming has been getting better each week and it's time to kickoff the fishing tournament season with the first open water fishing tournament of the year. Here is your chance to catch trout and walleye and win cash!!

If you love fishing, like I do - and you're up for a little competitive challenge, then don't miss the Tough Man Tournament, put on by the North Platte Walleyes Unlimited next weekend at Alcova Reservoir (April 29th, 2017) just outside of Casper, WY.

There are lots of opportunities to win cash prizes doing what you enjoy - fishing! Registration is open now and is $100 per team (up to 3 people per boat) until Wednesday April 26th, then $110 if received after that date.  Each team member will also have to be a member of the North Platte Walleye Association ($20 for an individual or $20 for a family membership) and you can join with your application for the tournament.

This years Tough Man Tournament will be held rain or shine on Saturday, April 29th and kicks off with a captains meeting, boat inspections and check in happening at the Casper Boat Club at Alcova Reservoir starting at 6 am.

How much money can I win? This is dependent on the number of teams that register for the Tough Man Tournament. The planned payout will be 80% of the total pot - paid out to the top 4 heaviest walleyes, top 3 heaviest trout and one cash prize for most non-game fish.

Heaviest Walleye - $800 / 2nd Heaviest - $500 / 3rd - $300 / 4th - $150

Heaviest Trout - $350 / 2nd Heaviest - $250 / 3rd - $200
